Customisations
Choose a living room carpet that complements your sofas, coffee tables, lounge chairs, TV units, side tables, and other living room furniture. The right carpet size can help define a seating area while adding warmth, comfort, texture, and visual character to the space.
Depending on the product, you may be able to select from different neutral, bold, contemporary, traditional, patterned, textured, or minimalist designs. Custom sizes may also be available for larger living rooms, open-plan interiors, compact apartments, or specific furniture layouts.
When selecting a carpet, consider the available floor space, seating arrangement, door clearance, and the desired amount of flooring to be covered. For larger seating areas, a suitably sized carpet can help visually connect sofas, chairs, and tables into a cohesive living room arrangement.
Custom and made-to-order living room carpets may require additional production time depending on the selected size, material, design, and manufacturing requirements. Customisation availability varies by product.
If you require a specific carpet size, colour, pattern, material, texture, or other specification, we recommend contacting the Sofa Genie team before placing your order so the available customisation options can be confirmed.
Shipping and Returns
Before ordering, please carefully check the carpet dimensions and intended placement area. Measure your living room floor and consider the position of sofas, chairs, coffee tables, side tables, doors, and other furniture to ensure the selected carpet size works comfortably within your space.
If the carpet is intended to sit underneath furniture, allow sufficient space around the furniture and make sure doors can open and close without catching on the carpet.
Standard living room carpets may be eligible for returns or exchanges according to Sofa Genie’s current Shipping & Returns policy. However, customised, made-to-order, specially sized, or specially manufactured carpets may be subject to specific cancellation, return, or exchange conditions.
If your carpet arrives with visible transportation damage or an issue that appears to be related to manufacturing, please contact our support team promptly. Provide your order details along with clear photographs or videos of the carpet and packaging so the concern can be assessed and the appropriate resolution process can be advised.
For complete information regarding delivery, returns, exchanges, cancellations, eligibility, exclusions, and other applicable conditions, please refer to the current Sofa Genie Shipping & Returns policy before placing your order.
Product Care
Vacuum regularly: Vacuum your carpet regularly using a suitable setting to remove dust, dirt, hair, and everyday debris before they become embedded in the fibres.
Clean spills immediately: Blot spills as soon as possible with a clean, absorbent cloth. Avoid rubbing aggressively, as this may spread the stain or affect the carpet fibres.
Use suitable cleaning products: Always use a carpet-cleaning product appropriate for the specific fibre, material, colour, and construction of your carpet.
Avoid harsh chemicals: Do not use bleach, strong solvents, abrasive cleaners, or unapproved chemicals that may damage fibres or affect the carpet colour.
Deep clean when appropriate: Periodic professional or material-appropriate deep cleaning can help remove accumulated dirt and maintain the carpet's appearance.
Rotate the carpet: Where practical, rotate the carpet periodically to help distribute foot traffic and furniture pressure more evenly.
Use furniture carefully: Avoid dragging heavy furniture across the carpet, as this can pull, stretch, snag, or damage carpet fibres.
Protect high-traffic areas: Consider suitable mats or protective solutions in areas that experience particularly heavy foot traffic.
Avoid excessive moisture: Do not saturate the carpet with water. Excess moisture can lead to staining, odour, fibre damage, or other issues if the carpet cannot dry properly.
Dry promptly: If the carpet becomes damp, allow it to dry thoroughly in a suitable ventilated environment.
Keep away from sharp objects: Avoid contact with sharp furniture edges, tools, pet claws, or other objects that may snag or cut carpet fibres.
Protect from direct sunlight: Prolonged exposure to strong sunlight may cause some carpet colours and materials to fade over time.
Use an appropriate rug or carpet pad where suitable: A suitable underlay can help improve stability, comfort, and protection depending on the carpet and flooring type.
Maintain a clean floor underneath: Periodically clean the flooring beneath the carpet to prevent dust and debris accumulation.
Follow the product-specific care instructions: Different carpet fibres and materials can have different cleaning and maintenance requirements. Always follow the care instructions supplied with your specific carpet.
Proper cleaning and careful everyday use can help your living room carpet maintain its softness, colour, texture, and overall appearance for longer.
Warranty
Warranty coverage may apply to eligible manufacturing defects or material-related issues that occur under normal intended use during the applicable warranty period. The exact warranty duration, coverage, and conditions can vary depending on the specific carpet, materials, construction, and warranty terms provided with the product.
Warranty coverage generally does not apply to damage or issues resulting from misuse, accidents, improper handling, incorrect cleaning, excessive moisture, neglect, unauthorised alterations, or failure to follow recommended care instructions.
Normal wear and tear caused by everyday foot traffic, gradual fibre wear, minor changes in texture, accidental stains, spills, burns, cuts, snags, pet damage, furniture-related pressure marks, or damage caused by dragging furniture may fall outside warranty coverage.
Colour fading caused by prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, moisture-related damage, improper storage, unsuitable cleaning products, or environmental conditions may also fall outside warranty coverage.
Minor variations in colour, texture, pattern, fibre appearance, and finish may occur depending on the material and manufacturing process. For carpets made using natural or handcrafted materials, variations in fibre, colour, texture, weave, and appearance can be inherent characteristics rather than manufacturing defects.
If your Living Room Carpet develops an issue that you believe may be covered under warranty, please contact the Sofa Genie support team with your order details, product information, and clear photographs or videos showing the concern. Our team will review the issue and guide you through the applicable warranty claim process.
For complete information regarding warranty duration, covered defects, exclusions, claim requirements, and other applicable conditions, please review the product-specific warranty terms associated with your Living Room Carpet before purchase.
